مسعود مولوی وردنجانی شهروند ایرانی بود که در خیابانی در ترکیه ترور شد. وزارت امور خارجه ایالات متحده با انتشار ویدئوی دوربینهای مداربسته از لحظه قتل، مسئولیت این ترور را متوجه رژیم جمهوری اسلامی دانست و آن را یک اقدام تروریستی دولتی توصیف کرد.
